Editorial Review A tinier version of the traditional Radio Flyer steel trike, this 10-inch classic couldn't get any cuter without an anxious toddler onboard. Wide handlebars with grips, matching red pedals, a step in back for piggybacking, and a wide two-color seat give it a distinctly retro look. But its old-fashioned style doesn't take away from its functionality--the ride is smooth. --Diane Beall

Handlebars are useless April 21, 2010 TBR (New York, NY) Must admit got seduced by the radio flyer name and thought this would be great for my 2 year old, and it does look nice. The only problem is that the bike is useless because the handlebar keeps coming loose and out of alignment. It is just poor design, b/c you cant tighten the bolt any more. Couldnt do anything with it short of welding the handlebars in place, so decided to swallow the $20 paid to amazon and buy a new trike.
If assembled correctly, this is terrific! April 9, 2010 Just a guy (Westchester, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 2 year old LOVES her trike. Someonne complained that the seat was too high and his kid couldn't reach the pedals. The seat is adjustable up and down about six inches. At the lowest setting, your kid should be able to reach the pedals.
People complain that the handlebars don't work, but I bet they didn't tighten the bolt correctly - or maybe they have changed the design. Mine works perfectly with no issues at all.
This arrives in a box with about ten well wrapped parts that need to be assembled. If you have a socket set, it will help. I had this together in about 15 minutes - and most of that was unwrapping the individual parts.
This is strong and well made. It will last for many many generations without question.
The real rubber tires (not inflatable - solid rubber) make this smooth and quiet to ride.
A helmet should be mandatory - not because your kid is likely to be injured on this, but because it starts good habits. My life has been saved several times by bike helmets (I have ridden a road bike for most of my life), and I hate to see kids without helmets. My 2 year old calls it her "bike hat" and we were able to find a cute pink one for under $20.
Fun Trike for Outings October 2, 2009 J. Janca 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My soon to be 3yr old can pedal but not very fast and we have lots of hills in our neighborhood. Taking a walk without a pushing rod turns a 30min walk into a 2 hour ordeal. The cheaper tricycle's have plastic pushing rods/frames and those do not hold up for very long. It also has real rubber wheels which seem to grip the pavement better then plastic ones. The only complaint I have is that the handlebar needs to be tightened quite a bit as it can come loose. Other parts need to be re-tightened about once a month. Otherwise it is a very good tricycle and I recommend it to anyone looking for something better then the cheap plastic ones.
Ruby's Bike August 7, 2009 J. Taylor My husband assembled very quickly. Very durable. My daughter only wished she could guide the trike, granddaughter only 2 so needs to learn.
It's alright. July 20, 2009 Rayzor (Chicago, IL) My kid didn't like it that much. Wish there is a strap on the pedal especially for training the little one. Hard to manuever sometimes. My kid was able to remove the handle bar if was not tighten enough.
